Overview – St Martin Real Estate

Spanning 20.5 sq miles, St Martin encompasses the northern side of the island of St Martin. The French side of the island covers 60% of the island and constitutes an overseas territory of France like nearby St Barts and fellow French Caribbean island Martinique.

As an overseas territory of France, the official language is French and the official currency is the Euro. St Martin is, in many ways, an outpost of French Republic in tropical Caribbean surroundings. St Martin is renowned for its boutiques, cafes and restaurants.

For property buyers considering investing in St Martin real estate, there are several areas of interest.

In Terres Basses on the western coast of the island there are some beautiful beachfront homes for sale in Baie Longue – one of the longest and most private beaches on St Martin. There are some equally spectacular beachfront properties for sale in Baie Rouge and incredible luxury homes for sale in Plum Bay.
