Find out how to support rescue, relief and recovery efforts in Abaco and Grand Bahama in the wake of Hurricane Dorian.

Our Hearts Are With The Bahamas

Earlier this week an exceptionally powerful category 5 hurricane caused severe damage in two of the major island groups in The Bahamas.

While we are thankful that the vast majority of the 700 islands that make up The Bahamas did not lie in the path of Hurricane Dorian and were spared direct impact, the Abaco Islands and Grand Bahama in the northern Bahamas suffered widespread destruction and loss of life.

The International Red Cross has estimated that 45% of homes on the Abaco Islands and Grand Bahama (roughly 13,000 properties) were severely damaged or destroyed and the death toll continues to rise.

How to Help Rescue, Relief & Recovery Efforts

The Bahamas has welcomed support from the international community for rescue, relief and recovery efforts and a comprehensive relief program has been launched.
