Overview – West Caicos Real Estate
The magnificently beautiful island of West Caicos lies to the southwest of Providenciales in the Turks & Caicos Islands.
Spanning approximately 11 square miles, the island is fringed by some of the most beautiful and secluded beaches in the Caribbean.
At the heart of the island lies the 500 acre Lake Catherine, which is a protected wildlife reserve home to West Indian flamingos and turtles.
The waters off the coast are also filled with marine life, such as the West Caicos Marine National Park, and the fantastic reefs in the area are popular destinations for dive boats.
The shallow waters off the north and east coast are ideal for diving or snorkeling while the west coast offers some of the best deep wall diving in the Turks & Caicos Islands.
Currently uninhabited, there are fascinating ruins in historical settlements such as Yankee Town.
There are also plans in development to create an exclusive resort and ultra-luxurious residences on the island which, once complete, would count among the most exclusive in the archipelago.
