Trinidad is known as the party island of the Caribbean and is home to the world famous Trinidad Carnival. The two islands combined provide the back drop for a truly spectacular place to live. Trinidad is expected to reach 1st world status in 2020 . Trinidad and Tobago is an archipelagic state in the southern Caribbean, located northeast of Venezuela and south of Grenada in the Lesser Antilles. It also shares maritime boundaries with Barbados to the northeast and Guyana to the southeast. There are of two main islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and 21 smaller islands.Trinidad is the larger and more populous of the main islands; Tobago is much smaller. Officially Trinidadians or Tobagonians, the people from Trinidad and Tobago are often referred to as Trinis. Trinidad and Tobago is a primarily industrialised country whose economy is based on petroleum and petrochemicals. Trinidad and Tobago is famous for its pre-Lenten Carnival and as the birthplace of steelpan, calypso and limbo.

The capital city is Port of Spain. Trinidad and Tobago is a liberal democracy with a two-party system and a bicameral parliamentary system based on the Westminster System. The Head of State of Trinidad and Tobago is the President. The Head of Government is the Prime Minister. The President is elected by an Electoral College consisting of the full membership of both houses of Parliament.

The Currency is the Trinidad and Tobago dollar. Stamp Duty paid according to the following scale for non-residential properties: Less than TTD 300,000 is 2%, between TTD 300,000 - 400,000 5% and greater than TTD 400,000 is 7%. The property market in Trinidad is buoyant and there are many choices of property available.
