Cuba is the most populated island in the Caribbean and one of the most beautiful, steeped with vibrant culture, dramatic terrain and majectic sun kissed beaches.

Fourteen provinces and one special municipality (the Isla de la Juventud) mainly comprises of Cuba. These in turn were formerly part of six larger historical provinces: Pinar del Río, Habana, Matanzas, Las Villas, Camagüey and Oriente.

The Cuban Government adheres to socialist principles in organizing its largely state-controlled and planned economy. The island is once again becoming a popular destination for tourist and will undoubtly become one of the major destinations of choice within the coming years. The 50’s cars and the islands inherent charm is capitviating and reminicient of a different time.The national units is the peso cubano. Currency tranasactions can be tricky,however most major hotels and banks will accept credit cards and travellers cheques.
