Scandinavian airline Norwegian Air has announced plans to add a new flight New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Martinique’s Aimé Césaire International Airport.
New Flights from New York to Martinique
This will be the fourth weekly flight between New York and Martinique operated by the Scandinavian airline which is the third largest carrier in Europe.
The new route will commence on 29th October 2017.
The new service continues a recent trend of increased service to Caribbean destinations.
In 2015 Norwegian launched the first nonstop flights from the northeastern USA to Martinique in more than 20 years and, last Summer, the airline announced the launch of new flights to Martinique’s French Caribbean sister island Guadeloupe from Fort Lauderdale and New York.
Great for Explorer & Property Lovers
According to Muriel Wiltord, Director Americas of the Martinique Tourism Authority, the new flight service will be ideal for “budget travelers, Francophiles, nature & beach lovers, culture aficionados and deal seekers.”
It will also be great for those with a second home in Martinique as well as buyers considering an investment in real estate in Martinique.
Martinique Tourism – A Growth Market
Martinique’s tourism industry is currently experiencing a surge in growth. Tourist arrivals expanded by 6.6% to 519,304 in 2016.
Anders Lindström, Norwegian’s US director of communications, added: “We are very pleased that more and more Americans continue to discover such a hidden gem in the Caribbean that offers quite a vastly different experience to most other Caribbean islands.”
